A designer by profession, Carolina Galia is dedicated to illustration, which was influenced by her love for her father, her relationship with architecture, and early memories that brought her closer to the drawing table. With this in mind, Caro Galia embarks on a career and training in the field of illustration in Spain and England. Her drawings made with crayons on opaline paper show her dedication to each of her works, which can take between 3 and 6 months. All her work is completed with the utmost care even to the smallest details. The contour and sinuosity of the lines achieves movement effects. Color is fundamental in her work. Her works are highly aesthetic compositions, especially standing out due to their colorful compositions. The tropics found in these beautiful images, mostly highlight elements of nature, fauna, and the world from a child’s point of view. Each of her series attends to a concept that she studies carefully before undertaking each project.
After her return to Venezuela, she found in art a way to sublimate her concern for the difficult situation in the country. It focuses on serving communities of children and the elderly.
Her social sensitivity has led her to create “My Venezuela”, a foundation that provides art education to the youth and older adults in difficult situations. The goal of her foundation is to cultivate respect for human values through art. Her illustrations have been published in major publishing houses and exhibited in Spain, England, and Venezuela.
