Alfredo Luccerini was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1980. He has practiced drawing and painting techniques in an empirical way since he was 7 years old. From then until today, he discovers an enormous passion for the visual arts and, in the privacy of his studio, he has consistently set out to perfect his technique. Since 2013, he has been inserted in the exhibition circuit of art fairs in Buenos Aires, the city where he works and lives.

The work that the artist has developed is defined as hyperrealistic. Hyperrealism is a figurative tendency related to sculpture and painting, which seeks to faithfully reproduce reality with the sharpness and visual definition that photography could offer. In photorealism -as it is also often called- an attempt is made to imitate the objects that surround us with precision, which is why the precise handling of the pictorial technique and the mastery of the bases of volumetric representation, the essential rules of chiaroscuro, of the perspective, extensive knowledge about color, etc.

Luccerini almost exclusively portrays wild animals in their habitat. The artist chooses to portray animals that are particularly attractive for their spectacular physiognomy, for the extravagance of their fur, for their imposing presence, for the ferocity of their nature; some of them are hunters or predators. Other species portrayed, impress by attributes such as elegance or perhaps nobleness.

The artistic proposal of this artist stands out for the wonderful combination of a mastery of the pictorial technique and the representation of the spectacularity of nature. Luccerini’s visual discourse takes place at that optimal point, where his method manages to capture the essential, in formal and symbolic terms. Regarding his particular sensibility and his creative purpose, he confesses to being an “absolute lover of hyper-realistic art: eyes, glances, postures, ferocity, tenderness, in short, nature itself (…) Impress you! Move you! Thrill you! That is when my work comes to life! “
