Alejandra Pérez López is a Chilean artist (1979). She studied Visual Arts at the Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación. She has a Diploma in Sculpture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She studied Photography at Foto Cine Club Chile and drawing and classical painting with Javier Barriga.
Alejandra’s life has been marked by a close contact with nature, the sea and the countryside of Chile, in her work her poetic link with nature is evident from where she raises a reflection about the damage that we are causing her, the pollution of the planet and deforestation of forests. Aesthetics and ethics go hand in hand, embodied in the author’s canvas, which makes us think, from the point of view, about ecology. She uses oil, acrylic and watercolors as a means of expression in various media.
